But the Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest NEEDS US! Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest (CSNW) is currently home to seven chimpanzees released from biomedical research. This group, the Cle Elum Seven, arrived at the sanctuary on June 13, 2008. Please visit their excellent website to learn more about these seven brave individuals.

But — on to the details! Again, we will transform Sweetpea Baking Company into a candlelit bistro and serve you gourmet, local vegan cuisine. Chef and author Isa Chandra Moskowitz is dreaming up the menu now, and Sweetpea, Foodfight!, Herbivore and Scapegoat staffers, along with other great volunteers, will cook and serve you dinner. Menu details to come, and tickets will be available on The PPK blog.

Happily, we have decided to lower the price of the dinners (and dish out less food, too, as nobody ever had room for dessert!). Tickets will be $25 per person, but we encourage diners to pay as much as possible. For those who pay $50 per person, there will be a generous assortment of home baked cookies and stickers and buttons from Herbivore Clothing Co. Plus, we’re working on prizes for those who give $100 or more. We will cover food costs and then ALL the money goes straight to the group we are working with!

what: 4 course benefit dinner for Chimp Sanctuary NW

Please check back for the menu and links to ticket purchase info!

THANKS!! And Burrito, pictured below, really says thank you. xo
